It is often said that the faster ones internet connectivity the more thrilling the internet experience one has and there is a lot of truth in this statement as the faster you can connect to the internet, the more sites you can open and as a result the more the internet is likely to serve you best. Since the bandwidth of the network is an important factor to determine the speed of the internet connection, many people would like have a larger bandwidth. However, price increases as the size of bandwidth increases and therefore, most of the people could not obtain internet connections having larger bandwidths. The internet connectivity depends upon the IP data transit which increases with the size of bandwidth

It is important for one person to learn to discern partial ip transit from full IP transit since being able to know these things can let you save bandwidth costs. Going for a partial transit would primarily mean that you choose to use a smaller bandwidth thus getting the internet browsing performance a bit wobbly. On the other hand however, partial IP transit is cheaper can assist you to cut on some internet costs you would have otherwise incurred. ISPs with partial transit typically do offer cheaper services as they do peering.

There are a lot of other routing protocols available in IP transit. Most common are the Rip Information Protocol (RIP) and the Open Shortest Path First (OSPF). RIP or Rip Information Protocol is opted by small businesses due to two reasons: one is because it sets hop limits and another one is due to the fact that it has the ability to block transmission of suspicious or unwanted data on the network. Also, RIP is effortlessly capable of recognizing loops.

The hop limits found in RIP are fit for small-sized networks where majority of the users may find it not matching with their own day-to-day internet needs.This is where OSPF comes in as it can be perfectly used with larger networks.

But then, OSPF and RIP are nothing but interior routing protocols mainly utilized for data swapping between routers and networks.

If you tend to cater to a lot of users who would simultaneously connect to the internet, then BGP is a highly useful tool for you.Multi-homing highly increases one's internet connectivity speed as problems in one connection path won't affect the user because they will be still able to use the other available paths for connectivity.

Considering the kind of network one wants to put in place, the speed of internet connectivity you would prefer and the bandwidth price one will be capable paying is the best way to decide upon which routing protocol is appropriate for you.
