Selecting The Right Toner Cartridges

By Claudia Campos

With the variety of toner cartridges available on the market these days, it can be difficult to make a decision as to which is the best product for you. You will have to take factors into account such as quality and price when making your decision.

A genuine cartridge is one which is made by the manufacturer of your printer. Using such a cartridge does have advantages as the manufacturers offer certain guarantees. They say that an original cartridge offers the best print quality and prolongs the lifespan of your printer. The problem for many companies with a limited budget is that these cartridges are very costly, sometimes even exceeding the cost of the printer.

A compatible or generic cartridge is another option. This is not a used cartridge that has been refilled. It is made and sold by a third party company under a different brand name. It contains all new parts and offers good print quality. It has the added advantage of being very cost effective and readily available.

Refilled units also have a place in the market, particularly with those people who want to go for an environmentally friendly option. A brand new cartridge requires the burning of petroleum in the manufacturing process. Recycling of the devices helps to minimize this.

The quality of Toner Cartridges can vary considerably due to the many options available. Buying online from a less than reputable dealer is a great risk. You need to be able to completely trust the company you are buying from. It is a simple process to refill a cartridge or to just replace a few parts and say that it is a compatible cartridge when it is not.

You will be wasting your hard earned money if you do not choose a company which offers some form of guarantee on your purchase. A reputable company should have no problem giving you a guarantee when you purchase their Toner Cartridges.
